January

Happy New Year!  We wish you peace, health and happiness for the coming year!

Last month our first speaker series event with Bellingham Mountain Rescue was a fun evening that opened my eyes to the hard work that BMR puts into providing such an important free service to our community!  I hope you can join us for this month’s Speaker Series on January 8 @ 7:30pm to learn about Washington climbing area rock types.

Our Branch Committee has an opening at the Secretary position.  Consider giving back and making a big impact in your community.  A small amount of your time makes a big difference.  Read more about the branch secretary below.

We are accepting applications for our Intermediate Mountaineering Course until January 15th If you are an experienced mountaineer, consider this next level course.

Elsewhere in the newsletter, there are lots of opportunities for stewardship in Bellingham this month.  If you are a Basic Course student, stewardship will be a requirement for your graduation!  Start early and get this requirement out of the way.

Have your adventures featured on our Instagram feed or in our monthly newsletter – tag your photos #bellinghammountaineers.
